KONY 2012 is working.

The response to the film and campaign has been incredible. We'd like to start by giving you an enormous "thank you" for sharing the film, signing the pledge, and showing your support on your wrist, shirt and wall.

So far 3,530,673 people from countries all over the globe have pledged support. The world is responding. Policymakers are hearing your voice and are starting to take a stand in support of ending LRA violence. In just the last two weeks, two bipartisan resolutions supporting the effort against the LRA have been introduced into Congress. Together, the House resolution by Congressmen Royce and McGovern and the Senate resolution authored by Senators Coons and Inhofe, have already gained over 76 bipartisan cosponsors. The UN also announced, together with the AU, that the four LRA-affected countries would cooperate in a regional task force targeting the LRA. This is momentum that must be sustained.

Please continue to reach out to your leaders. If they have not already signed on to the KONY 2012 resolution, encourage them to do so by writing to them, attending events, and signing up for local lobby meetings. If they have already signed on, then thank them. They need to know that we stand not just behind them, but beside them, in the fight to end LRA violence and rehabilitate abducted women and children.

And coming next week: the release of KONY 2012: PART II. This is the video that takes you deeper into the story and the solution. If you want to help stop Kony and be part of this global movement, you can't miss it.

Art Decoratifs Museum in Paris presents Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs

An immutable fashion list must include the Ls Vuitton bag, on display demurely but proudly in Paris' Decorative Arts Museum like the historical artifact it should be. The bag pattern was first patented in 1877 but it can still be seen — almost unchanged — on the Parisian boulevards more than 130 years later. This is thanks to house founder Louis Vuitton, and since 1997, creative director Marc Jacobs. Both their stories are woven together in a colorful exhibit that spans over a century of fashion history.

Stop Kony

Joseph Kony (born c. 1961)[1] is a Ugandan guerrilla group leader, head of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), a group engaged in a violent campaign to establish theocratic government based on the Ten Commandments throughout Uganda. He is responsible for the kidnapping of over 66,000 children. The girls become sex slaves; the boys soldiers.

After learning about the atrocities being committed by Kony, a group of people decided to form Invisible Children and set out to stop him. As a result of their efforts, Obama deployed 100 army advisers to Uganda to teach the natives how to defend themselves against Kony with the hopes of putting an end to his violence. Hollywood Rockabilly Style!

The IndiExhibit just wrapped up their promotional event in the Wow! Creations gift lounge at the 2012 Oscars. In case you don't know who I am talking about, The IndiExhibit (IE) is a group of independent artists who pool their resources so that they can promote their work by gifting it to various charity events and celebrities. Wow! Creations is the company who has the gifting lounge that IE pays to participate in. Both are terrific groups and, if you are an indie artist looking for a way to get your products into the hands of the rich and famous, I highly recommend that you join The IndiExhibit!

Now, about the Oscars...

This is IE's display table from the event. On the top right you will see him - Rockabilly Owl! Ain't he cute? I just love this little fella. He is the creation of Deborah Mazarakes of Deborah Mazarakes Art & Design and he has now made his official Hollywood debut!

If you like him as much as I do, he is featured on some terrific products in her shop. I think they would make great gifts for any Rockabilly, blues or owl loving person you know. So, if you have a friend or loved one with an upcoming birthday or special occasion, you should pop on over to Deb's shop and pick one up for them!

The queer little Lepracaun;
Offer'd the box with a whimsical grace, -
Pouf! he flung the dust in my face,
And, while I sneezed,
